Ropreco

Roprecos are the only paste tomatoes I grow now. They are disease resistant, uniform, low-maintenance, and literally fall into your hands when they're ripe. They exceed San Marzano, according to many of the reviews, including several from traditional Italian cooks. Highly recommended. I've grown them (in eastern Ontario just north of Lake Ontario) in a plot, in raised gardens, in containers, and in straw bale gardens and they perform consistently.
